J.C. (Steve Marshall) is an abbreviation for Jesus Christ. Not wanting the viewers to miss the subtly, Fred Dekker masterfully places the graffiti “Stryper Rules” in big red letters so it stands out. Stryper, as we all know, is a Christian metal band, known for wearing yellow and black. Coming round full circle, notice J.C. is wearing a yellow and black shirt (WITH a red stripe accent). Well played, Dekker. Well played.
