Mothers Day Edition YEAR
Ma fully embraces this new trend in Multiverse of Wibbly Wobbly, Retcony Antileptony stuff. To wit, we see the young Darrell (Dante Brown) getting his face painted white, which is an easter egg for his later becoming Baron Samedi (Geoffry “7UP Guy” Holder) in the 1973 film, Live And Let Die.
When not co-piloting Airwolf, Grandfather (Dominic Santini) passes the time as a less successful framing device telling stories to Grandson (Mark Hurtado) á la The Princess Bride.
Cinco de Mayo Edition 2021
In honor of Cinco de Mayo, and El Maestro’s (Anthony Iava To’omata) call for support of Mexican culture, I wrote a poem for this shitty movie detail:
El perro, el perro, es mi corazón,
(Love is like a beautiful flower,)
El gato, el gato, el gato no es bueno,
(But it can also be dangerous, like a tiger with a gun,)
Cilantro es cantante,
(Divorce. Pain. Nothingness.)
Cilantro es muy famoso.
(Stay single forever, protect your heart, avoid guidance counselors.)
Las cucarachas entran, pero, no pueden salir.
(No sir, I don’t like it.)
May the 4th Be With You Edition 2021
Darth Vader can’t believe it when Luke throws himself from the maintenance catwalk after their duel. This is why Vader fails (to catch Luke and bring him back with the Force).
I find this family’s lack of faith disturbing.
May Day Edition 2021
Despite being listed as the lead character, Nicolas Cage is not in this film. In fact, the setting’s all wrong, too: Scotland, 1973, not America, 2006. I think I might’ve rented a homofylm.
